Taff will be missed, lucky enough to spend a week with him in Stebis before he left the Regiment, my thoughts are with his wife and his two brothers.

Riflemen,

Due to the sensitive nature of Taffs death, with reference to the press etc, It's felt inappropriate to publicly announce details of the funeral.

I have quite a large list of people, to whom I will send the details by email. If you were informed of Taff's death by me, then you're on that list. Having just heard the sad news I felt I needed to post this on the web site as when the time is right I am sure his wife will gain strength from the messages here. Her husband, my friend was as many have already said a great bloke, generous and a good mate. A very proud Green Jacket who was highly regarded by all that served with him. I wish to join everyone else in sending my condolences to his wife and daughter as well as his two brothers.

A true 'Jacket' and great friend gone but never forgotten.

Like so many of those who knew Taff I'm really shocked and saddened by his death. Having known him for so long I have wonderful memories of times spent together. He lived life to the full, and anybody who came in to contact with him benefited from knowing him. My heart goes his family at this very sad time.

I am taffs father inlaw we thank you all for the comments in this difficult time, yet again you have proved that there is still that bond that cannot be broken even after you leave the services. Our family are bearing up but it is going to be a long struggle thanks once again.
