Dear Gordon,

Sadly your late Father was not a member of the KRRC Assn and so all his fellow Riflemen of the KRRC send you and the family sincere condolences. If you give me an address I will put your Dad's name in the Roll of Honour of our 2014 Journal. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Richard

Thank you for your kind thoughts and your offer

My father was a quiet unassuming man that felt he did no more nor less than any other given the current times

I will contact you with the details you requested

Kind regards

Gordon,

I'm sure all would concur that it would be fine to do as you wish, he sounds a fine man as he most certainly would of been as a member of our family.

Once again my sincere condolences to you your family and all who mourn him.

G'day gents

Just to let you know, yesterday I spoke at my dad's service and gave the following message on behalf of you all

'RIP, John William Smith, brother rifleman, Celer et Audax'

It hit the spot

Tomorrow I return to Aus to re-join my family, I wish you all well in whatever you do

Kind regards

Gordon Smith
