Bob De-Friend died at 02-30 today August 10th, details of his funeral will published once I am notified. Bob served with 1 & 2 KRRC & 2GJ in Derna/N.Ireland and Berlin.

Bobs Funeral will take place at Parndon Wood Crematorium, Harlow CM19 4SF  (Tel 01279 620620) at 11-30 on Tuesday August 27th.

Bob, such a character. I will forever visualise you up a tree, shouting "Nicht verstein" to Dougie Gee. I'm off to Berlin this weekend, and will hold that memory as I wander round Wavell Barracks. Sad to hear of his passing. RIP mucker. Will toast you from the Corner House.

It was a pleasure to have served with you from Boy Service in 2 KRRC at Tidworth (1957) through to BERLIN in 1961/2. You will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to have known you, I, like Ian Gilder will miss that very special sense of humour. God Bless Bob you were a very special Green jacket.
