In remembrance of C/Sgt Ken Ambrose MID, who died a year ago 9/1/13.

The founder of the original RGJRA website, who worked tirelessly improving contact for ex and serving GreenJackets, and is most probably the main reason why so many of us have found mates and comrades, who would have just been memories.

A great and dedicated man, who is sorely missed by many, our thoughts go to his wife, Penny, and family on this day of remembrance.

A few years ago Ken and I were discussing the topic of poems to put on the site, this one he liked, and I would like to dedicate it to him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight,

I am the soft stars that shine at night,

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

DWM         Couldn't have asked for a better poem

For the great Brose as I am sure 99.9% of those who knew Him

from 3&1 RGJ no doubt always called Him by that name

RIP Ken

I concur with the thoughts of the DWM and also hope he is looking down content with how we have carried on his work, if not I am in a lot of trouble and can expect a 252 at the FRV !!

A good friend, much missed.

A giant of a man with a heart the same size and was there for every 'Jacket', God Bless Ken, i bet you're laughing at some of the muddles we're all getting in to down here.
