Lady Althaus

Anne (née Cardew), aged 81, died on Sunday 5th January, peacefully and at home with all her children. Widow of Nigel, adored mother and grandmother. Funeral and Service of Thanksgiving at 2 p.m. on Thursday 16th January, St Peter's Church, Swallowcliffe, Fovant, Salisbury, Wilts SP3 5PA. No flowers. Anne was the widow of Sir NigelAlthaus (died July 2007), 1 KRRC Nat. Svc. 1949- 51, who also found time to be an active member of Queen Victorias Rifles from 1951-60 and who was Government Broker and subsequently after Big Bang  with the Bank of England for 14 years.

Green Jackets of a certain vintage will remember him a sympathetic and sound golfer and her as a charming supporter of regimental golf.
