Just received the sad news from Vic McFall that Jimmy Manley passed away this morning.  More details to follow once known.

Friday 7 June at 1400hrs.

Southport Crematorium

Southport Road

Scarisbrick

Lancashire

Dress:  Black/Regimental tie of your choice. No medals. No berets. If you haven't got a tie smart casual.

Then at 1500hrs

Formby Sports and Social Club (formerly the Royal British Legion)

Whitehouse Lane

Formby

Liverpool

The two venues are approx 8 miles apart.

Little Jim passed away at 0915hrs Thursday 30 May 2013.  He was at home and his family were present.  Jimmy was recently diagnosed with cancer.

The funeral will take place in Formby on Friday June 7 2013. 

Timings are not yet known but Jimmy was hoping for an afternoon ceremony in consideration for those who have to travel some distance to attend.

It  seems like a short time ago we were enjoying the Rifles boxing evening, Jimmy and others were having a great time, what an evening. Then I hear of this tragic news that little Jimmy is no longer with us. God be good to him, may you rest in peace Jimmy.

Thank you for your thoughts, do you have any photographs of Jim in his evening dress please? We all knew he was a top guy but so proud that he was held is such high regard by his fellow green jackets.
