Mick was my first Sgt at IJLB in Shornecliff- because of him I chose 3 RGJ, and I still find myself doing things Mick taught me 30 years later- a true legend- RIP
I was greatly saddened to hear of Micks passing away, I both liked and respected him. He was a man who faced life and enjoyment full-on and to me, he exemplified the spirit of the true rifleman. My condolence to his family. Rest in Peace Mick. Robin.

Sad news indeed. A fine man who always kept us "young 'uns" in check with his inimitable manner. A true Rifleman. My sincere condolences to his family.
Deeply saddened by the passing of Mick, he was one Regimental "legend" I had the honour to meet, a man of Green and forever an immortal. Condolences to family and friends at this very sad time. God bless you as you finally stand easy.
Mick was a legend. I remember him with fond memories. He appeared larger than he really was, in that he had a heart of gold and always had a kind word. Best wishes to his family and closest friends at this very sad time.
Sad to learn of the passing of Mick - another "legend" of 3RGJ - once seen never forgotten - always ready for a laugh and a beer. My sincere condolences.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mick (the rat) Rattigan. I knew him when he was on Boy Service and thought well of him. I met up with him a few times during my Service Time and always got on with him well. Another good 'Brigade' man gone to the keeper in the sky. My Sincere Condolences go to his family.
I dont know if you would prefer a 'Green Jacket Brigade' Flag which is what your Father joined or a 'Rifle Brigade' Flag but I have a full sized 'Green Jacket Brigade' Funeral Drape with 'Brigade' Badge on it if you would care to borrow it or you might like to contact RHQ for details of the Rifle Brigade Flag!
Just leave a message here for me if you would like the Drape.

Mick was a highly respected man, his name was always mentioned with a smile, he made many friends (young and old), left his mark on the battalion and influenced many of those lucky enough to come into contact with him, Rick, if I could be half of what your ol' man was I would be a very proud Rifleman.
