I have spoken to Dorothy Denton, Bert's Widow and once she has contacted Sid Bunn of the Rifleman's Aid Society on Monday and Steele's Funeral Directors in Winchester she will let Steve Kinrade at RHQ The Rifles or me know what arrangements have been made.  Bert served in the KRRC from 1945 to 1949 and was a most active member of the Hampshire Branch of the KRRC/RGJ Association for many years.  He will be sorely missed.

Bert's funeral will be on Monday 19th January 2009 at 1345hrs in the Light Division Chapel ATR Winchester, followed by a cremation service at 1445hrs at Basingstoke Crematortium.  The wake will be in The Bell Inn, St Cross, Winchester.  Family flowers only, donations to Cancer Research via R Steele and partners, Alderman House 12-14 City Road, Winchester SO23 8SG.
