Gent's

The funeral service for Mick Dardis will take place next Wednesday the 10th March. The service will take place at ST Bede's Church Bishops Avenue Chadwell Heath Essex RM65RS. Can we ensure that those that wish to attend are at the church for 10:15am as the service will start at 10:30hrs. Mick's wife has asked that if any of the lads wish to turn up in reggie blazer and tie please do as Mick would have loved that and he will be going to the FRV in his.

After the service we will then move off to the cemetery this is about a 10-15 minute drive from the church, traffic permitting. The location is Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium Forest Road Hainult Essex IG63HP.

A local hall / social club has been booked for drinks etc after the service but as yet i am unsure of the name or location, but i will update as soon as i find out.Lets give Mick the send off he deserves, a legend in the true sense and a great man and friend and fellow RFN.

I was gutted to hear of the passing of Mick, as put so well by Richard frost , he was so into regimental history you could not beat him.

He and Dave Negus fully researched the backgroung into Valentine Bambrick (VC) and this info is now in the public domaine.

He was a legend in 4RGJ and has created a hole that cannot be filled, he turned ticking into a black belt art form.

RIP mate, see you at the FRV.
