It is with great sadness that i have to report that the life support that was keeping Mick Dardis going has been switched off today. His family were with him at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Imelda the children at this very sad time.

So sorry to hear of Micks death, he is at peace now ,suffering no longer even though he leaves us all too soon. Rest in peace brother rfn and i send all my condolences to the family and friends who will miss him but never forget such a character.
Sincerely sorry to hear of the of Micky, I was always in awe of his tremendous knowledge of Regimental History. He and that remarkable knowledge will be sorely missed.
The funeral service for Mick Dardis will take place next Wednesday the 10th March. The service will take place at ST Bede's Church Bishops Avenue Chadwell Heath Essex RM65RS. Can we ensure that those that wish to attend are at the church for 10:15am as the service will start at 10:30hrs. Mick's wife has asked that if any of the lads wish to turn up in reggie blazer and tie please do as Mick would have loved that and he will be going to the FRV in his.
After the service we will then move off to the cemetery this is about a 10-15 minute drive from the church, traffic permitting. The location is Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium Forest Road Hainult Essex IG63HP.
A local hall / social club has been booked for drinks etc after the service but as yet i am unsure of the name or location, but i will update as soon as i find out.Lets give Mick the send off he deserves, a legend in the true sense and a great man and friend and fellow RFN.

I would like to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for attending dads funeral. Special thanks to the two buglers who were brilllant. My dad would have been so proud of everyone.
