It is with deep regret that I announce the death of Marty Bourke  (Tech QM Clerk, MT Clerk, B Pl A Coy).  He died peacefully at 0820 hrs Wed 31 Mar 10.  His funeral has been provisionally booked for 1200 hrs at Harlow Crematorium on Fri 9 April. He requested no flowers but any donations to the KRRC Association.

Marty was a very close friend from our initial days together in HQ Company Penang, through Munster when he married my sister Jennifer, and until his sad parting this week. I have been asked by Jen and the family to take his Funeral Service at Harlow Crematorium on Friday 9th April (at 1200pm midday). Please, if any of his or my former comrades have any stories or thoughts they wish me to add to his eulogy please let me know on djspudtaylor@lineone.co.uk. Rest in Peace now Marty.

Grandad was the best even though he supported chelsea and not tottenham.

Even though he was very poorly he still had a smile on his face and still drinking his mug of tea.

He was a fighter, and we loved him very much.  He made us all very proud.

We love you grandad

Hayden, Danny, Jamie and Ronnie.

Such sad news and I am sure the thoughts of all members of The King's Royal Rifle Corps Assn are with the family and friends of Marty, may he Rest In Peace. I will try to arrange for a Bugler to attend at Harlow on Friday.
