Death of Richard Carlyle-Clarke - formerly an officer in the KRRC

Richard Carlyle-Clarke passed away on 30th January, devoted husband of Jackie, loving father of Caroline, Giles, John and James, adored grandfather, beloved brother of Cherry and Tiggy, and friend to so many.

Funeral to be held on Thursday 9th February at 2.30 p.m. at Tollard Royal Church. Family flowers only please.

Any donations in his memory for Pramacare and Tollard Royal Church may be sent to Handley Funerals, Sixpenny Handley, Salisbury SP5 5NJ.

Richard was born in Bristol on the 7th January 1926, the second of three children. He and his sisters, Cherry and Tiggy, grew up living around Bath and Bristol. He attended The Downs School near Bristol followed by Monkton Combe School near Bath.

On the 18th January 1945 he volunteered for the Army and went in the 60th Kings Royal Rifle Corps as a Rifleman; he was put forward and was accepted for a Commission and served as a Lieutenant in Venice and Trieste from 1946 to 1948.
