On 23rd April 2012 aged 85.

A much loved husband, father and grandfather. Funeral Service was at St. Andrews Church, North Kilworth in Leicestershire on Thursday 3rd May.

Educated at Harrow. in Harrow XI 1944/45.

He reached the rank of Captain in the service of the Oxford & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.

Paul Cater Hyde-Thomson was married to Baroness Zoë Caroline Georgia d'Erlanger

He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).

He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1965.

He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire in 1986.
