I have just herd that Jock passed away in 2000 from a heart attack, the news came from one of his daughters,is there any one else in the regiment aware of this.Rest in peace George,your duties complete my friend,see you at the final RV.

I didn't know about this and so sorry to hear about it.

He was a great lad.

One particular memory of Jock...

It was the Queen's visit final rehearsal, in Celle 1984, with the usual manic attention to detail.  Bn HQ was in a state of supressed hysteria and it was all hands to the pumps.  Johnny Quinn over - eggs the pudding with the explosives for the simulated attack and blows some of the windows out of the Sgts' Mess.  Jock appears, in the middle of a busy working day, with a pint in one hand and a snooker Cue in the other 'Whaat the **** is going on??'

RIP Jock you were great fun to have around and stopped us from taking ourselves too seriously.

Rip Jock      You certainly was a great character in 3RGJ.      

The memory  that I have is when we were in Cyprus Dhekalia on a Sgts Mess dinner night and you and Brian (Ginger) West got pissed

and you both stood up for every regimenmtal tune RSM at the time Kenny Gray was not amused and you certainly did a few extra BOS
