Sad news indeed, Ken was a dedicated rifleman, one who upheld all the very best of our traditions. Hard working and enthusiastic. I knew Ken from many long years ago, through Felixstowe, Borneo and beyond. He will be greatly missed.

A sad start to a day to hear of Ken's passing, a true rifleman from his days in 1RGJ and the great work he has done for the association.
Condolences to Penny, family and friends
Shocked and saddened. Sincerest condolences to Penny and family. A black and green big man with a big heart that will leave an even bigger hole in the regiment and association.
Sad to hear of the passing of Ken (RIP) - did basic training with Ken at Bushfield Camp in 1963 and although have not seen him since then, have had the pleasure of enjoying the work he did on the regimental internet and newsletters. RIP Ken.
Having known Ken for 50 years and of him being unwell, it still has come as a great shock to hear of his passing. Penny has just phoned me to let me know in person, whilst I was in the process of writing this. She asked that I read all the posting to date as she was touched by the number of people who have responded so far, she then mentioned that some details are incorrect, as Ken passed away at 1835hrs yesterday on 09/01/13 at Milton Keynes hospital. The cause is still unknown until such time that a post mortem is carried out.
All our love and condelences go out to Penny and the family, especially Ken's grandchildren whom he adored and doted on.
