I had lost touch with Dave some years ago but will always be grateful for his kindness to me in ealy 86. We were both with the Trailblazers, he an experienced jumper and me the admin and commentator/driver/dogsbody. One of the nicest people you could wish to meet and with whom you could have a sensible conversation.
Rest in Peace Dave and as you would wish - blue skies.
RIP dave and now you will have blue skys all the time
Ex 2 RGJ & Regimental Free Fall Team, Very sorry to hear about Dave spent 2 years on the Freefall Team with him from 1975 - 77 had some great times, Dave you are once more back up in the Heaven's, A true SKy God ! Swift & Bold.
As a former Team Commander of the Parachute Display Team I knew Dave very well. He was a reliable and competent parachutist and a thoroughly nice guy. My condolences to his family.
Haven't seen or heard from him in years. Was sorry to hear of his death. I did serve with him for about a year in 1975 in Gibraltar. Do remember him well, a very likeable guy.
I'm Daves eldest daughter and have wonderful memories of going to the airfield with him and watching him jump. Although I was only little I remember happy days full of blue sky's and sunshine. Its lovely to read these comment's and any stories would be lovely to hear.
I went to Peter Symonds and Dave was such a top bloke. All the students thought he was a great guy. He has to have been the most universally liked character at the college over the years and probably never realised how many students remember him. I also worked with him at Homebase where he was a customer and staff favourite. RIP, Dave.
