Ray Collett passed awayon June 24th, details of his funeral will be published here once we have the details. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his widow Janet and the family at this very sad time.
Yes, this was a blow to my system as Ray had arranged to meet me on Friday 28 June at the Vets lunch. A very genuine friend, WBro and Fellow Rifleman who will be missed by all who knew him. A man of knowledge, wisdom and would help anyone who needed his help. My sympathies go out to Janet and the children. Ray, we will meet again at the FRV! God bless Mac
A service will be held at St Andrews Church, Enfield at 14-00hrs on Thursday, July 18th followed by a private family burial afterwards. No flowers please but donations to Macmillan Nurses would be appreciated.
Ray's untimely death from cancer is a sad loss for the Regiment and an even sadder loss for Janet and his family. The KRRC Cadets were and remain very special to the KRRC. Ray followed Frank Cox in committing himself to the cadets and their leadership, and has since been followed by Janet. All of us who knew him will miss him. As President of the KRRC Association and Chairman of the Celer et Audax (KRRC Officers') Club, I send my condolences to Janet and family on behalf of all the members of the Regiment whom I represent.
Having known Janet since I was a cadet at Davies St under her father I would like to wish her and her family my sincere condolences on the death of Ray who dedicated so much of his life to the KRRC cadets, may he rest in peace.
