Captain Robin Rathmore Plunket, 8th Baron Plunket,

3 December 1925 - 16 November 2013

Educated at Eton College and served in the Rifle Brigade 1944 1947.

In 1945 he served in the 2nd Motor Training Battalion when it was commanded by Lt Col Vic Turner VC.

He was a Life Member of the Rifle Brigade Club.

He married Jennifer Southwell, on 8 November 1951.

The Plunkets had no children.

He became 8th Baron in 1975 on the death of his elder brother.

Robin Plunket died peacefully on 16th November aged 87. Beloved husband of Jennifer for 62 years. Funeral at 11 a.m. on Thursday 5th December at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey SW1P 3JX.
