Michael Bullock died on Tue 4th of February2014 aged 80. His funeral will take place on Monday 17 February 2014 at 2.40pm at Colchester Crematorium, Mersea Road, Colchester, Essex. CO28RU and afterwards at the Lexden Crown, 235 Lexden Road, Colchester, Essex, CO34DA.
In the mid 1950s Michael Bullock served as a National Service Officer in the 43rd and 52nd in the Cyprus Emergency commanding the Machine Gun Platoon.
He was a Life Member of the RGJ Assn and contributed pictures to the RGJ Assn picture site (http://www.rgjphotos.org.uk/pre1958/oxbuck_mikebullock1956.htm) and had recently contribute an article to the about to be published S &B "Luck was on our side that day".

I had never met Michael but had corresponded with him via email many times. He had just recently submitted an article for the 2013 Swift & Bold Journal regarding his service in Cyprus in 1956.
I know he will be missed and my sympathies go to his family.
