It is with deep sadness that I have to announce the death of Geordie Rutherford. Eddy Carbury has asked me to post the details on this site. He died on Friday 22nd December and had not been well for some time. The funeral will take place at 1000 hrs in Bliyth Cemetary on Wednesday the 3rd of January 2007. Geordie was a well loved member of the old 3rd Battalion and I can remember many of his antics in the mess in Berlin with his pal and drinking partner Johnny Bond. I will post more details when they are known.

My condolences go to his nearest and dearest at this time

What another blow, Geordie was a great Chap I spent many a night on duty with him when he was the MO's duty Driver, never a dull moment, one of the best.   Lots of fond memories. Sympathies to Geordies Family.
