Brigadier CCLO (Kit) Owen LVO OBE MDA, sadly died last night, 28th June.  His funeral will be in Salisbury Cathedral at 1100hrs on Tuesday 10th July 2007.

My thoughts go out to Brig Owens Family.  Remember him well as CO 1 RGJ NI 1982.  Had the pleasure of hosting him for a Cpls Mess function.  A good gentlemen and Green Jacket.  WIll try and make his funeral.  RIP

Have just read this after all these years, I first met the Brigadier, in the 1st Battalion, in the rank of Major in Dover and as the Bn Radio Sjt I mounted guard with him at Buckingham palace,  later in Aldergrove when he was CO I was commanding the Signal Platoon as a CSjt, found myself in the Mess at Friday Happy hour, when out of the blue he prommoted me to WO2, what a happy hour we had!

I could fill this page with more, but am just sorry we never met again after he left 1RGJ in Tidworth, a great CO great memories.

RIP Sir, untill we meet at the final RV, sure I will have to retune your A41.
