On behalf of W.O.2Ollie Brown's Wife, Sandrah and all of his family, I have been asked to say thank you to all for the words of sympathy and condolences they have received at this sad time. The kind donations made in lieu of flowers at the Church and wake raised £1000 and this will be given to the day ward of the hospice where Ollie received his treatment. On a personal note, myself and Tony Fowler would also like to add our own thanks to all concerned in giving us their support in the arrangements of the miltary funeral for Ollie, you did him proud guys, and it made us proud to be members of such a fine regt.
I have just come across this website. Its lovely to see so many messages of condolence for Oliver's family. I am his neice but sadly hadnt been in touch with him for many years, there isnt much for me to say. Just thought I'd post. R.I.P. Oliver.
Hi Marion sorry i have not replied before. But i have just seen your reply.I will pass on your message to my sister. And i will give her your e mail address and tell her to get in touch. With best wishes Gary.
I am keen to get in touch. I was a member of your Jan 1990 intake of AAC recruits and will be leaving next year. I work with Iain Ross (your ex brother in Law) and across the way from Lt Col De La Rue, formerly a rifleman in your Platoon.
You delivered the right instruction at the right time and I will always be eternally grateful to you for that. Your standards set me up for a career that has seen me reach RSM of a frontline AAC Regt. It would be a huge honour for me if you were able to attend my dining out at Wattisham next year (possibly june time). My email address is robdrake@tiscali.co.uk. Let me know if you are about and would like to attend.
