Ian, a gentleman who always thought of others before himself who even in his last days in Bn could still run like the wind. He'll be sadly missed. Our thoughs go to Julie and Fiona
What very sad news. Ian Rosser was my driver when we were in Dover and we spent many 'happy hours' on the M25 and elsewhere. What a nice man and a family friend to my wife and daughters. We will miss him. As many have said, always cheerful, always willing to help out, kind and thoughtful.
He hardly ever seemed to get tired despite the distances we travelled and we had some fun! I remember once we broke down half way 'home' but, thanks to Ian we were able to get hold of the AA and ending up being delivered to Dover Castle on the back of a low loader - much to his embarrassment and the amusement of the English Heritage staff!
My wife, daughters and myself join together in sending our condolences to Julie and Fiona Anne. You will miss him dreadfully but we hope that like us happy memories of Ian and all he was to you and so many will replace the sense of loss that you now feel.
With love and prayers, Vere and Penny Hayes, Rowan, Tamsin, Sophie and Lucia.
Ian, what can we say, about Ian he was the most generous and caring man we have ever met.We only had to mention (for instance about picking up the leaves in the garden) he would do it, without being asked. If you mentioned anything needed doing it was done, he was a super Son in Law. We will miss him and his jokes and his brummy acent. We have known him for twenty five years, there was nothing bad about him, he will always be a part of our lifes he will not be forgotten. God bless forever. Mum and Dad (Mary and Bill)

Donations can be sent to the same address, enclosing Ian's name and the chosen charity, cheques must state the charity you wish to benefit. The chosen charities are Hearing dogs for the Deaf. The Royal Green Jackets' Association. N.S.P.C.C.
After Ian's funeral service there will be refreshments in the Church hall opposite the Church there will also be a book of rememberance should anyone want to write about Ian.
I would like to thank all of the above who have posted about Ian. Your postings have given me and my daughter Fiona-ann a source of comfort. Furthermore l should like to wish all who are travelling to Ian's funeral a safe journey.
