We regret to announce the death of George William Bolton who died on 23rd July. George was born in 1919 and joined the 2nd Rifle Brigade in 1939. He saw service in Italy, Greece and North Africa. He was later transferred to the 11th KRRC before being discharged in 1945. He was very proud of his military service and continued to support his local branch up until recently.

His funeral will take place at 11.40 on 8th August 2008 at South East Essex Crematorium, Upminster. Flowers are welcome. Any members of the regimental family who wish to attend are welcome and his family are keen that they should do so. After the funeral light refreshments will be laid on locally. If anyone wishes to attend the funeral and reception afterwards they are requested  to assist catering arrangements by contacting Georges sister-in-law on 0208 4712165 or by email at fofbs@tiscali.com.
