Colonel (Retd) MAG (Mark) Watts, RIFLES County Colonel Somerset sadly died on 31 July 2008.  Details of his funeral will appear here once known.


There is to be a private funeral for family and close friends only followed by a Thanksgiving Service at some time in the future to which everyone will be welcomed.Details will be made known once firm.


There will also be a Thanksgiving Service at 1430hrs on 14th October at The Church of St Andrew, Colyton, Devon.

I knew Colonel Mark Watts when I was Staff Assistant at the Rifle Depot and he was DAAG Manning HQ Light Division.   I remember his as a very approachable and caring man and someone who always had time for others. 

It is really sad to hear of his passing aged 66 and I would like to pass on my condolences to his family and friends
