Rifleman SW (Stuart) Nash, 1 RIFLES, was killed in action on 17th December 2008 in Afghanistan.
My Sincere and Heartfelt Condolences go to the Family of this brave young Rifleman. So very very sad to suffer a loss at any time but especially at this time of year.
My thoughts are with you all at this time. RIP young man!
I am currently still in Afghanistan myself, I know the guys name but won't publish here. Once the details are known, if the family wish, I will try and get some of the Australasian Branch RGJ to attend. Please let me know on my email address.
I attended the repatriation of Stuart Nash today in Wootton Bassett, and spoke to his extended family, it was very moving with very many serving Riflemen, retired Royal Green Jackets , and many Ex servicemen from all Services, Standard Bearers ,Town Mayors from as far away as Warminster and Hundreds of Civillians, a sad day but the least we can do
To all Stuarts Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all especially at this time with another year looming. God Bless Bob and Birgit Wright in Germany
