I am sorry to hear that Ken has passed on. I have not seen him for very many years but will always remember him from our younger days in Colchester. One day I recall was when we were in Woolworths in the High St in Colchester and Ken said " watch this and see the reaction I get" with that he promptly started to scream and cry at the top of his voice " I am lost and cant find my Mum". In no time at all he had so many old ladies around him asking things like " what does she look like and when did you last see her " we were in stitches. Eventually we got hold of his hand and started to tell him off whilst walking away, those old ladies were all looking on in amazement.
Ken sounds like he was a true greenjacket character,Although I never knew Ken i feel a loss for the RGJ family R.I.P.Ken condolences to your family and friends, Stand easy, no more parades today.
I remember Ken from the Battalion good RFN no matter what rank he was. He even decided to do senior BRECON again just so that he could keep his hand in, this was when he was CSM.
My condolences to the family. Sleep well Ken, sweet dreams.
Just found out the sad news of Ken's passing. Ken was my ex Father-in-law, even though I am no longer married to his step daughter, I feel very saddened by this news. My thoughts and prayers are with his whole family.
Sorry to hear the news, far be it for me to comment on someones life, I know he was a good father & Uncle, & a character with two son's still serving, And will be there Saturday to pay my respects to him & his family
Very sorry to hear of Ken's passing, all of us ex 2RGJ in Warminster knew and admired Ken. To me he was a good friend and Rifleman, one of the most tolerant men I've met and he never raised his voice when he bollocked me, scarey. Our thoughts go with his family. Oh yeah I count my lucky stars that Ken had a great sense of humour.
