Death Of Dave Smith, (Cyprus) KRRC - 2RGJ

I regret to inform you that Dave Smith, who recently started the first branch of The Rifles  Regimental Association on Cyprus died this morning (20th October). Initial information indicates a heart attack. More details when known.

Informant was Alfie Fisher formerly London Branch and now also a Cyprus resident. 

Daves funeral will be held at Dhekelia Military Cemetary on Tuesday 27th October commencing 1000hrs and will be attended by Lt Col Bob Pickford, Tiny Watson and Alfie Fisher from the Cyprus Branch of the Rifles Association.

May I thank you all for your kind messages. Dad's Sister, My Brother and myself are presently in Cyprus with our Mum Andrea making the necessary arrangements. We would just like to reiterate that all are welcome to attend the funeral on Tuesday. We have been to the cemetry today and it is a lovely peaceful area.

The Green Jackets were a big part of our Dad's life, and therefore we would like to thank you all for giving our Dad the memories and honour that he enjoyed!
