It is with regret that I have to inform you that John Forrest ex 2RGJ 71-90 was found dead this morning (30 Dec 09) in his home in Washington Tyne and Wear.
John attended the RGJRA North East Branch Remembrance Parade in Sunderland this year. He will be missed by all.
Geordie Adams will let us know the funeral details.
I remember Geordie Forrest as I am sure many do, hopefully when the festive period ends & former colleagues check this site they will add some kind words,
John has always been and will remain one of my best friends, we go back to April 1973. I have rescued him, and Adams from land crabs in Belize, the RMP in Belfast and any number of incedents mostly beer related. John had lunch with me at my house when he came to Warminster to see Jackie, we did a lot of remenising Geordie Adams of course featured a lot. Condolences and best wishes to John's family from all his old mates in Warminster, there are quite a few of us.
So sorry to hear of Geordie forrester's paasing to the FRV. I only knew him from my Minden days in 2RGJ and what a smashing bubbly guy he was. Condolences to his family.
See you in the FRV no doubt you and Colin Bedden will have a good time catching up. God Bless Geordie.
Sleep tight Geordie. We had some good times together. You will be missed but not forgotten. See you in the FRV mate. Give my regards to all the others, god bless. SWIFT & BOLD
