Hi Terry.

So sorry to hear about your dad. We joined up together along with Bill Handley. After 12 months training both your dad and Bill went to 3 RGJ and I went to 1 RGJ and I never saw or heard from him again. He was a great laugh and when times were low he always put a smile on your face.

R.I.P TC

Terry,

Your dad was a good man and as tributes show, extremely popular within the Battalion.  It's a funny old world, because your dad and I only met in Battalion life and lived nowhere near each other in our previous civilian lives, however one night when I was on guard duty with him he asked if I had a brother-in-law by the name of Ken Jones.  Yes I replied.  Then your dad goes on to tell me how my brother-in-law was doing a load of electrical work on your Nan's house when he was home on leave, and that my brother-in-law noticed some military items about the place and got talking to TC only to realise that we were serving together.  Strange old world, but your dad and I found it both funny and spooky at the same time.  I had a lot of time for your old man Terry, but I wouldn't cross him when he was throwing an eppy and thats for sure!  TC was most definitely the kinda guy you want on your side when on Ops or just out on the brew and not on the other side!

Terry,

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I join up and met your dad in 75 with the rest of the lads already mentioned. As they have said he was a very funny man, well respected by all and fearless when the chips were down.

Kind Regards

Dave M
