It is with deep regret and sadness that I must inform you of the death of WO2 Edward Chessum who served with E Company 5 RGJ - RRV - 7 RIFLES. Edward "Chez" Chessum died in hospital In Oxford on Monday morning 1 December after a long private battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with his wife and chidlren and family at this difficult time. Celer et Audax.

Funeral details
The funeral of WO2 Chez Chessum will be held on 13 DEC 10 at 14.00 at St Peter and St Paul's Church, High Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks MK16 8A followed by his burial at Tickford Cemetery, Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks, MK16 9BG.

His wife Lorraine is keen that as many as possible of Chezs friends and fellow riflemen who served with him in the UK and on Operations attend his funeral and join his family afterwards at John Howard Barracks where we will toast his memory and hopefully share some laughter as we recall our time serving with a great Rifleman, a Chosen Man through and through.

The Funeral of WO2 "Chez" Chessum will be held on Monday 13 Dec at 1400 at St Peter and St Pauls Church, High Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks , MK16 8A. Followed by Chez's burial at Tickford Cemetery, Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks, MK16 9BG. His wife Lorraine is keen that as many as possible of "Chez"s friends and fellow "Riflemen" who served with him in the UK and on Operations attend his Funeral and join, his family afterwards at John Howard Barracks MK14 5NQ, where we will toast his memory and hopefully share some laughter as we recall our time serving with a True Rifleman, a Chosen Man through and Through. Sleep peacefully my friend we'll RV somewhere later. You are are going to be missed by me mate.

I ll keep some good memories of us, Cambrian Patrol in the river at night up to our chests arm in arm so we didn't go under and giggling like to girls. wink.gif

CHEZ, I learnt a lot from you. We had some good pissups and excerises!

I remember Ukraine 2002,  that was mad.

I did not know Edward, but have read the posts and he seems to have been a very popular man that will be missed not just by family and friends.  Condolences to all.
