Death of John Leslie, KRRC and 2RGJ former WO2 with Funeral Details

I regret to inform you that John Leslie, former WO2, died in his sleep in Dover on 23rd November 2011. He was 64 years of age.

John Leslie`s funeral will take place at Barham Crematorium Canterbury Rd,   Barham, Canterbury, Kent CT4 6QU Tel: 01227 831351at 12:40 on Tuesday 13 December 2011. 

Family Flowers only please but donations are requested to Care 4 Casualties, RHQ The Rifles, Peninsula Barracks, Romsey Road, Winchester, SO23 8TS.

All regimental family members are welcome to attend.

This is very sad news.  I took over PMC of the WO's and Sjt's Mess from John in Omagh.  I think he was the last PMC of 2RGJ and the first of 1RGJ.  I remember him always as being a character and loving the odd Brandy.

 

Very sad news for all his family.

So sorry to hear of Johns passing. We joined up together at the Battersea recruiting office on July 22nd 1964. We had been pals for years roaming the streets of Battersea in the early sixties.
