Bill joined the Green Jackets in August 1960 and finished in 1970. He was a Battalion signaller and served as Major Scrace-Dickins signaller in Cyprus in 1962- 63 he went on to serve in Borneo and elsewhere. He was married to Monica daughter of WO1 Jim Sperrie and has a son Simon.

Bill died in hospital in Grimsby after a long illness. Funeral details will be posted when they are confirmed.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to his family.

My Sincere Condolences to the Family.On hearing the Sad News about Bill. I met him when he came to the Bn in Cyprus in 1963. and got on very well with Him .as did any one who got to know him..did Borneo with him . will be Sadly missed by all who knew him..A Chosen Man .Rest In Peace Bill. SWIFT & BOLD.

Bill was one of the guys I worked with in Signals Platoon. He was a genuine and good bloke, as well as a good operator. He will be missed by all who knew him.
