Death of Johnny Hulbert - Rifle Brigade National Serviceman
Permalink Closed

Sadly Johnny Hulbert died on the morning of Thursday 02 February.

A most garrulous and wise cracking ****ney who served in The Rifle Brigade as a National Serviceman (NS) during the Kenya campaign of 1954-55. He epitomised everything that the NS gave to their regiments, hard work, loyalty, dedication all this encompassed with their Days to Do charts.

Out of the army Johnny was a black cab driver and woe betide any of his fares who raised the subject of the forces-they got an ear bashing about the finest regiment in the British Army. He also became a committee member of The Rifle Brigade Association.

He was a true Rifleman.

The funeral of Johnny Hulbert will take place at 1445hrs on Friday 17 February at the:

Islington Crematorium

278 High Road

East Finchley

London

N2 9AG

Tel. 020 7527 8300
