Death of Michael Bristow, formerly 60th Rifles.
Permalink Closed

Michael Bristow died a week or so back aged 79.   He was a 3 year man in 1/60th in Sennelager 50-53 and was called back from reserve for the Suez crisis when he was with the battalion in Derna.   He had been ill for some time so it was no shock.
He is being cremated at Bramcote Crematorium, Bramcote, Nottingham on Friday 17th February at 1500hrs.

Just a simple ceremony with some Green Jacket music and the eulogy by his brother Trevor.   He was a good Rifleman and had been down to the memorial at Alrewas a few times and came to the Service at the RGJ Memorial unveiling.   He was a rabid Green Job so I'd like to give him the best send-off I can.

It would be nice if any ex-Riflemen appeared for what is going to be a short event.
