Just beat me to it! I'm Johns daughter Catherine. Just started a topic with details of the funeral arrangements near to this one. Dad died at approx 12.35 a.m. at Aintree Hospital after a long battle with COPD and Cancer. He is at peace now. Thanks for the support. Love to all. xx
Hi All I'm John's daughter. My father was in the Rifle Brigade and 3RGJ between 1966 and 1972. Sadly he passed away earlier this morning and is to be cremated on 8th June at Walton Church Liverpool 12.45 and taken to Anfield Crematorium 1.30 nearby. If anyone who knew him would like to attend feel free to come along and share your memories of my father and your colleague.
I had some good laughs with John, he had the bunk opposite my in Cyprus, there were 5 of us an all, and all on the MT. He continued to make me laugh when we both went into "R Coy" typical scouse sense of humour, and the other thing about John was that he always had a camera in his hands, he told me once that he would like to pursue this in Civvy St working for a paper or something, I hope he achieved his dream.
