Death and funeral arrangements of John Brown
Permalink Closed

It is with regret that I have to announce the passing of John Brown aged 98 years.

John served with the 1st Buckinghamshire Battalion (TA) Ox & Bucks LI during WW2 and was involved in the defence of Hazebrouck in France. He was evacuated via Dunkirk and returned to France on D Day.

John was a staunch member of the Bucks Bn OCA and more recently as Chairman.

He was a very humble man who became a firm friend to all members of the RGJRA Aylesbury. He was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

The funeral will take place on Friday 5th October at Amersham Crematorium (Sat Nav HP7 0ND) at 10am followed by a reception at the Railway Club in Aylesbury (Sat Nav HP21 8HH)
