Tommy St Aubyn died on 29 Nov 2012 aged 89 in The Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover, where he had been for the past ten days.

 


St Aubyn: Thomas Edward CVO DL, peacefully on 29th November 2012, after a short illness, aged 89.

Private family cremation.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at the Church of St. Cross, St Cross Road; Winchester SO23 9SDat 11.30 a.m. on Friday 25th January 2013.

Donations, if desired, may be given to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice and SSAFA by retiring collection or sent c/o Dunning Funeral Services, 2 Church Close, Andover SP10 1DP (01264 334436).

 

DoB 13 June 1923. Son of The Hon. Lionel Michael St. Aubyn and Lady Mary Theresa Parker.

He married Henrietta Mary Studholme, daughter of Sir Henry Gray Studholme, 1st Bt. and Judith Joan Mary Whitbread, on 21 November 1953.

 

 Educated at Eton College, Windsor

 

In the Ranks for 290 days

 

Emergency Commission in the KRRC. He fought in the Second World War with 1 KRRC in Italy and Austria 1944/45 incl in a MG Carrier Platoon.

Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1993.

 

He was a member of the RGJRA/Officers Club
