Marylin please accept my sincere condolences, your loss surpasses anything that we know or feel.
Colin Mucker,
You were always very very good to me, you knew where I was always coming from. You, I always felt, weren't given the credit for being the good soldier you was and I know your section thought the world of you. For me you were always honest truthful, said it the way it was and NEVER bowed and scraped and that is where I believe the 'head shed' never got the best from you 'cause you were a good leader and not a 'yes sir no sir' soldier.
However Mucker, you're in the FRV now and more than likely having a right good laugh with the fellas who are already there. When it is my turn I hope I am good enough to stand beside you. please have a beer ready for me.
Colin my friend, you will be greatly missed by me but even more, sadly missed by Mailyn. God Bless Mucker.

GOOD NIGHT OLD FREIND SLEEP WELL THE BUGLE CALLS YOU.
I just heard today of the sad news of Colins passing, I first met Colin when i joined the anti tank platoon back in tidworth.
He showed me by his example how to become a leader, he never asked anyone to do something he wasnt prepared to do himself. My memories of him have always been of a man who was fair, funny and to the point. In my eyes he was an outstanding person and will be missed greatly.
So sorry to hear Colin has died , he was a really nice Guy & I remember him well , I cannot be at the funeral, but my sincere condolences to his Wife, Family & close friends.

just heard the news from Carl Greatorex and Leo. You would'nt believe how sorry i am. A cracking bloke and a bloody laugh. I never ever heard anyone say a bad word against Bedknobs and that speaks volumes. Sorry i missed his send off but over in the "pit" so i hope you understand? Take care and best wishes
Sorry, Marilyn, deeply sorry. And many apologies for the late condolences. I have had a bit difficulty organising my interternet (Spain is miles behind).
I was in touch with Colin some time last year and then the conversations just ended and I did not know why. I sent him a couple of E Mails to re-establish contact, but to no avail - now I know the reason there was no reply and I am deeply sorry.
As someone said above:
"Stand easy, Colin, you have done your bit for the Regiment and the country. Hang up your boots and combats; I know that in spirit you will always wear your beret displaying that badge which we were all proud to serve under".
"You were a good friend and will always be remembered as one of the characters in the Battalion and will never be forgotten"
