Fitz, a big, strong man, with a bigger character. He was kind to his friends... one night/early morning at Tommies he asked how I was getting home. 'I'll grab a minicab' says I, 'no you wont' says he, 'I have my black cab outside, I'll take you home'.
After about a 50 minute drive, (more than likely in the wrong direction for his home) we arrived in Streatham. He wouldn't hear of any payment, even though I pressed him to take it.
I thought that was pretty special. Later I found out that he had done the same at other times for other Greenjobs.
Rest in peace Fitz. It was a privilege to have served with and known you. and great to have met you at Tommy's after so many years had past. Swift and bold......
Rest In Peace Fitz my old mucker, stand easy your duty done. May I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of a good comrade and a good rfn who has been taken from us to soon. See you in the final RV mate and we will have a drink again
I have no idea if you will be welcome to attend. I was informed yesterday that his funeral is being paid for and organised by the Windsor Chapter of the Hells Angels that I am led to beleive he was a member of. My son Tony was a friend of his from 3RGJ and he is going so I don't see any problem with anyone else attending. If you were a friend of his go and pay your respects and take a chance.
It is with great regret that Fitz Funeral Time and date have been posted incorrectly. and after speaking with the church today it has been confirmed that Fitz funeral is today at 12th June 2012 at 14hrs
Today was the funeral!! I work in Caterham and have never seen soo many bikers!! Looked like a good send off!! See below a link to YouTube video just found as the car was leaving the church!!
Many of us are broken that the dates got mixed up and we could not attend.
For the record.... he was known as 'Fritz' Anderson for all his time in 3RGJ. Not Fitz.
After he left us he spent some time with the Paras and then went on to be a stuntman..... then play a part as a gangster in 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Hooves'.
It didn't matter weather you called Fitz, Fritz or fitz he didn't mind. he just didn't want to be called Fritz when we were in Berlin as he said it makes him sound like hes kraut..
Very sad news, gutted missed the funeral known the big man since we were RGJ boy soldiers just age 16. The last time I seen Fitz was at my serprize 50th Birthday Do. I , Pauline & the boys were just talking about him the other day. We are all in shock.
heard the news about the passing of Fritz,my condolenses goes out to the family, although i have not spoken to fritz in a number of years, i can still reflect on the good times we had in each others company. (3RGJ)
"Rest in peace"

RE: Death of Fritz Anderson and Funeral Arrangments
Thank you Butch. On behalf of his entire family, I would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words, during these tough times. It is very comforting to hear of all the people whose lives he has touched, and all who have so much fondness and love for him.
Apologies for those who were given the incorrect funeral details, and therefore did not get to attend his funeral.
We believe he gave two (big) thumbs up for the send off he received.
A charity has been set up in his honour, for Help For Heroes, his favourite charity.
